About the Parks Department:

The Parks Department is responsible for maintaining town owned property including all athletic fields, town parks, pump stations, cemeteries, and also the grounds at the Town Hall, Highway Department, and Water Department. All scheduling of athletic field use is done by the Parks Department. Along with normal duties and operations throughout the season, the department also prepares for the Halfmoon Day festival and is responsible for snow removal from the Town Municipal Center.

• Athletic Field Maintenance

• Trail Clearing

2009 Summer Beautification Program:

The Town of Halfmoon Parks Department is looking for individuals age 14 & 15 to work as part of its summer beautification program. The program is a great introductory working experience for kids, which offers hands on maintenance of town property including recreation areas, athletic fields, and parks. It is a 6 weeklong program requiring an employee to work 15 hours per week. If interested, please download an application from the link below and return it to the Supervisors Office at the Town Hall.
